Well, there's always a more affordable choice for you - Victorian period chairs are good choices. These have immense sizes with upholstered rounded seats. The style could range from simple curved wood structures to straight lines and to geometrical outlines. Compared to other chairs, these are definitely priced much lower, around $150 and above per piece.
These are not cheap investments - you can expect to pay four to five digit figures - but definitely fulfilling, especially for those who love to collect antiques. One of the rules with antique chairs is that, the older and more worn out the condition, the greater the value. The quality of the workmanship and the amount of imperfections (remember this is a good thing) would also influence its pricing. If there are any replaced parts in it, the cost would - and it should - most likely go down.
If you have the sitting room as part of the foyer of your home, and are looking for chairs to adorn it, a tub chair would fit the bill perfectly. Leather tub chairs are small and light, yet elegant. They are a superb way to add a bit of retro sophistication to your sitting room or foyer.
Leather club chairs, on the other hand, are an excellent smoking chair, reading chair, and cocktail chair. They are a bit bigger and heavier than a tub chair, but not nearly as bulky as a recliner. These chairs are great as accent pieces in your den, library, etc. They also have a bit of old-school about them, but are a bit more cozy in their styling.
